Spiritual Self-Defense for Queer Folx & Allies
April 25, 11am-3pm What does it mean to be made in the image of God? What does it mean to be queer? What queer characters are present in scripture? How does scripture portray gender roles? How can we deal with the clobber passages? What is a healthy response to the weaponization of the Bible? These are a few of the questions we will engage with during this FREE workshop led Pastor Wes Jamison, a pastor with 20+ years experience and a doctorate in Biblical interpretation.. Lunch will be provided! All LGBTQIA+ folx and Allies are invited to join us. |

Campfire Collective
May 8th @ 5:30pm EVERY SECOND FRIDAY of the month, all LGBTQIA+ and Allies are invited into community at Nineveh: Lutheran Justice Ministry to gather around the fire, meet new friends, check-in with old ones and enjoy some fireside treats! If the weather is not our friend, we will move indoors for a movie night! Everyone is welcome! The event is free! The structure of the Collective has been intentionally left open so that we can build this program together as friends. It is open to all LGBTQIA+ and Allies of all ages and we at Nineveh are committed to its prospects. We are a faith-based organization, but the Campfire Collective is not a religious event. We gather only as friends and equals. |

Community Potluck& Worship Service May 21st @ 5:30pm Nineveh: Lutheran Justice Ministry is a fully affirming and welcoming faith community. Everyone is invited to join us for a potluck meal together, to eat and fellowship with one another in our Fellowship Hall. Anyone of any faith or tradition; anyone looking for community; anyone hungry for a hot meal and fellowship; anyone just curious about our ministry is invited to join us! After we enjoy our meal, we will gather in the sanctuary to sing, pray, read scripture, hear a sermon and celebrate Holy Eucharist. We love to have everyone for both the meal and service, but there is no obligation to stay for worship after you eat. We are happy to have you with us. |
